The main mandate of this college is to evolve an innovative educational strategy aimed at developing the self sufficient human community of the country. In view of the above, clearly identified objectives are as under.
- To impart intensive training in food Science and Technology.
- To carry out research on processing, preservation, biochemical and nutritional attributes of the food.
- To improve indigenous processing methodology to reduce the loss and wastages during processing and storage.
- To dissertate innovating and vital technology for food and allied industries.
- To speed up the technology well suited for small agro-based industries in the rural areas.
- To provide technical advice and guidance to the entrepreneurs in the State.
- To create the nutritional awareness among the rural masses and economically poor people of society through the activities regarding Food and Human Nutrition.
- To develop the specialty products to particular group of people.
