Food Technology deals with processing & preservation of Food. It is concerned with all processes involved to convert fresh & stored agricultural produce for future consumption as food by the human beings. All the graduate and postgraduate degree courses in Food Technology impart in-depth knowledge of Science and Technology and various skills involved in processing and preservation of foods. Using Food Technology, it is possible to supply the fortified and nutritious foods to the needy population of at very affordable cost. Food Technology is simply the post harvest technology where the seasonal agricultural and horticultural produce is processed & preserved for long periods for safe storage and further usage at a later date.
