In-plant Training (VIII Semester)
The in-plant training programme was introduced in academic curriculum to bridge the gap between the academic expectations of the students and the requirements of the industry. Students gather first-hand experience in modern business practices and skills. An internship is a chance to use business classroom to connect with what is happening at schools, to add value to the educational and career plans for the future. It also helps create possible future opportunities for students in the companies where they intern and conversely, the companies benefit from real-time evaluation of prospective employees. In that programme One academic staff member of the college will co-ordinate and monitor the in-plant training programme. Each student or a batch of student will be sent to the food industries for industrial training. The evaluation shall be done by the host industry and one academic staff member of the college nominated by the associate dean of the college concerned. It is recommended that students be placed/attached to an organization/industry for one semester. The evaluation should be done jointly by the college and placement organization.
